Uni-Flange Couplings and Restraints, UFR & RCxx Styles

Mechanical joint (MJ) restraining couplings are the fastest, cheapest way to secure MJ connections without costly and cumbersome thrust blocks.

Ford UFR & RCxx Uni-Flange Couplings and Restraints are available in several styles:

  • The UFR1300 Series is a split design for PVC pipe with a pair of clamping bolts and inner serrations providing positive end restraint; is available in sizes from 2″ – 48″.
  • The UFR1400 Series is a wedge-action design for ductile iron pipe incorporating individually actuated wedges located around the circumference of the pipe (similar to the Series 1100 MEGALUG® Mechanical Joint Restraint); it is available in sizes from 4″ – 48″.
  • The UFR1500 Series is a high-performance mechanical joint restraint for C900 and IPS PVC pipe performing both gasket sealing and thrust restraint; it is available in sizes from 3″ – 36″.
  • The RCxx series is a sleeve style for ductile iron, PVC, C909, HDPE, steel, or SDR35 sewer pipe providing a secure connection between the same or different pipe types (RCDD, RCPP, & RCDP); it is available in sizes from 3″ – 36″.
