Male Pipe Thread Ball Corporations

The tapered AWWA or “CC” thread is the most common corporation thread today as its extreme taper makes for easier, stronger taps. But traditional male iron pipe thread is also used for service taps and is available with pipe thread or compression outlets.

Male Pipe Thread Key Corporations

Although less common these days, Ford also offers key-style corporation stops with male pipe thread inlets, with CTS compression being the most common outlet connection.

Abandoned Corporation Caps

Ford’s Abandoned Corp Caps are an easy way to isolate and encapsulate corporations that are no longer in use. A 3″ cap fits corp stops through 1″ and a 5″ cap fits 1-1/4″ – 2″. Everything’s made of 304 stainless steel and these fit 4″ – 24″ mains.

Ford Iron Service Saddles

Ford offers a variety of iron service saddles for 3/4″ – 2″ AWWA/CC or male pipe thread taps. The F101 series are single band (also referred to as single strap or single bale) saddles. For a stronger connection the F202s are double-strapped. The FS version of each upgrades the brass bales to a stainless steel band, and the FC series adds epoxy coating to the ductile iron body.

Repair Saddles

Sometimes a service connection begins to leak or is otherwise damaged and a new tap with a repair saddle is desired. Repair saddles have wider bodies and a larger gasket to offer some repair-clamp style protection around the tap.

Compression by Compression Ball Valves

Ford compression ball valves and curb stops can be joined to copper tubing, plastic tubing, and both plastic (PEP) and PVC pipe, based on the O.D. required, and most sizes can be accommodated with pack, grip, or quick joint compression styles. All ball valves can be ordered with stop and waste drain, padlock wings, or handles.

Female Pipe Thread Ball Valves

The ball valve was designed to combine watertight, strong performance with easy manipulation. Ford’s ball valves have become industry standards both in the basement and at the curb as a service shutoff. All Ford ball valves, female pipe threaded included, are AWWA standard, heavy cast no-lead alloy and are sturdy waterworks grade valves. In our climate a drain option is often desired to help prevent downstream freezing after the valve is shut. All are available with padlock wings as well.

Zurn Wilkins Water Pressure Reducing Valves

Most water mains move water at pressures capable of full force hydrant outputs for firefighting – often too high for plumbing fixtures and piping – and domestic pressure reducing valves are often required installations. Water also expands as it heats creating other pressure problems in a domestic plumbing system. A thermal expansion tank can help handle that extra volume and keep the system’s pressure regulated.

Female Copper Adapters

As many water operators come across flared copper in their systems they’re replacing it with compression connections. The prevalence of plastic tubing and the skill required in flaring copper are making flared copper a rare sight these days but there’s still plenty out there so come to us for your adapters.

PEP Compression Adapters

Whether you need to adapt to male or female pipe thread, PVC or steel, copper, or polyethylene tubing, we’ve got what you need when working with polyethylene pipe. Remember polyethylene pipe and polyethylene tubing are different things – the pipe has a higher wall thickness and is a slightly larger outside diameter than the tubing, which is the same OD as copper.

Compression Tees
