How to Install a Uni-Flange® Series 1500 Mechanical Joint Restraint
Easily restrain PVC and HDPE pipe with Ford’s UFR1500 mechanical joint restraint. The restraint segments are contoured to fit the pipe and can be used on any thickness class of AWWA C900 PVC without point loading. The Auto-Tork segment actuating screws break off when the correct torque is reached.
The exclusive SO-EZ gasket snaps onto the MJ gland or restraint for stab-fit pipe insertion. Rubber thickness, flexibility and design permit compression to ODs of IPS PVC, C900, C909, SDR-35 and ductile iron!
