Cellular Endpoint, FirstNet

The Cellular Endpoint (or Cellular MIU/CMIU™) securely transmits meter reading data using AT&T’s FirstNet® cellular network, so your water utility can eliminate the costs and frustrations associated with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AMI infrastructure.

Instead, you can leverage FirstNet, the nationwide public safety broadband network dedicated to First Responders. FirstNet presents significant benefits compared to other cellular endpoints: data is prioritized over commercial traffic, and network compatibility is guaranteed for over 20 years. Our cellular endpoint is the only endpoint offered on FirstNet.

The R900 family of endpoints/meter interface units (MIUs) have been the backbone of Neptune’s mobile AMR platform for many years; Ti-SALES has sold and supported hundreds of thousands of these units across New England and upstate New York. The R900 continues to be the most reliable endpoint in the industry.
