Service Saddles, Ductile Iron Body with Single or Double Bale or Stainless Steel Strap

Smith-Blair Service Saddles comprise the largest line of saddles in the industry certified to NSF Standard 61 and 372 for fast, dependable tapping on all types of pipes. Outstanding features like the Taper Seal gasket, heavy forged bales or stainless steel straps, and a wrap-around design that reinforces and supports the pipe provide low initial cost, ease of installation, and excellent lasting qualities.

Smith-Blair’s service saddles all come standard with a blue fusion-bonded epoxy coating on the iron saddle body. Available styles include single band (311), double band (313), single stainless steel strap (315), and double stainless steel strap (317). Either a bale-style saddle or a strap-style salle can be used on steel, cast iron, asbestos cement, or ductile iron pipe; the single and double stainless steel strap saddle may also be used on PVC and other soft or brittle pipe. Saddles are available in sizes from 1″ – 24″ and with 5/8″ – 2″ AWWA/CC or NPT/iron pipe thread taps.
