The Model 4042™ and 4042WB™ Secondary Spill Containment Scale™ weigh only the chemical dispensed into the water treatment system. If there is a chemical spill, the weight is still on the scale and doesn't read as though it has been dispensed into the system. The scales have four Load Cells that are completely sealed in PVC and Vinyl Plastic enclosures, which means they are protected from spilled chemicals and the chemical containers do not have to be centered, balanced or leveled. Integral Splash, Spill and Containment scale platforms are resistant to most water treatment chemicals such as: fluoride, sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, sodium bisulfate, polymers, ammonia, phosphate, alum, caustic, sodium aluminate or other liquids or powders. These patent pending Scaletron Industries, Ltd. spill contaimnent scales have an ultra low-profile design. The scale frame height does not exceed 1.5 inches. The low-profile design faciIitates easy on and off loading of heavy containers. The Model 4042™ spill containment scale contains moderate spills, while the Model 4042WB™ (with bladder) has the additional benefit of a special rollout bladder to hold the contents of the container being weighed if spilled or leaked.

Three indicators are available for the Model 4042™ and 4042WB™ Secondary Spill Containment Scale™. All are mounted in a NEMA 4x, UL approved enclosures. The standard indicator is the 3½ Digit with liquid crystal display(LCD), and standard 4-20 mA output. Display reads either 0.1 lb./kg. to 199.9 lbs./kg, or 1.0 lb./kg. for weights 200 lbs./kg. to 1500 lbs./680 kg. Optional indicators include the 4½ Digit, LED indicator with standard active and passive 4 - 20mA output and two low level relay contacts. This display has a resolution of 1500 lbs.(680 kg.). The Model 1099™ Chemical Process Controller is also available, allowing the user to combine different scale bases to create a customized Total Electronic SystemSM. All of our indicators can be calibrated in pounds or kilograms.
